Go
ahead and call me a "tree hugger" or an "environmentalist".
It won't hurt my feelings. I passionately believe that we must
protect and preserve our beaches, bays, open-space and our oceans.
As a creative person you have been given the gift of ideas and
insights and they can and should be used for greater good. I'm
trying to do that, but I need your help.

Lee
Silber is an avid scuba diver, sailor, surfer, wake boarder
and all-around water enthusiast. He has been known to pick up
litter while surfing, boating and even when snorkeling. On June 17, 2006 my first event to clean up the beach community will begin. In addition to arranging to have the city haul away oversided trash, I am holding a cleanest court contest. In MIssion Beach where I live we are surrounded by waterthe ocean on one side and the bay on the other. The courts are no longer than 400 yards and some are beautiful. Others, well let's just say they aren't as nice. The goal is to get them all looking great. Here's how you can help.
I'd like to give the (top 3) winning courts prizes. If you have anything you would be willing to donate, I would be so grateful. Please contact me at the number below.
If you approve of my example of being the change I want to see happen in the world, a donation towards beach cleaning supplies would also be welcomed. Any amount (even just $1.00) would make a difference. Please send your donation to the address below.
If you live in San Diego and want to take part in a beach cleaning, please contact me and you can join our group to sweep the beach. Please contact me at the number below.
If you think to yourself when you see litter or pollution, "Somebody else will clean it up." Well, don't count on it. Usually it's more like, "If not you, then who?" Be proactive. Start small. Get involved. Take action. For $1.00 you can make a difference. I am sponsoring beach clean-ups this spring and summer and one dollar buys quite a few trash bags. Please send your $1.00 donation to the address below.
